Legendary Rock Start Eddie Van Halen Has Passed Age 65

Prayers are in order as it has been reported that the legendary Grammy Award winning songwriter and lead guitarist of the rock group Van Halen, Eddie Van Halen, has passed away at the young age of 65.

The news was broke via Eddie Van Halen’s son, Wolfgang Van Halen’s Instagram page.  According to his only son by his ex-wife actress Valerie Bertinelli,  Edward Lodewijk Van Halen, passed away after a long battle with cancer.

He was the best father I could ever ask for. Every moment I’ve shared with him on and off stage was a gift.   My heart is broken and I don’t think I’ll ever fully recover from this loss.

Eddie Van Halen was survived by his sone Wolfgang Van Halen, wife Janie Liszewski and brother as well as bandmate drummer Alex Van Halen.

Our prayers and condolences go out to the family, friends, band mates and colleagues of Eddie Van Halen.
