Legendary Phil “In the Air Tonight” Collins Reveals He Now Needs 24hr Care

The legendary Phil Collins famously known for his smash hit “In the Air Tonight” with its slow-burn tension and climactic drum break, inspired by his divorce and, despite urban legends, features improvised lyrics reflecting emotional angst rather than a specific event, now at the age of 74 years old has revealed that he requires round-the-clock medical support.

Recently the Grammy Award winning Phil Collins during the BBC’s “Eras” podcast series said his health problems traces back to a serious spinal injury in 2007 that damaged vertebrae in his upper neck and led to lasting nerve issues.

“You know, I have a 24-hour live-in nurse to make sure I take my medication as I should do. I’ve had challenges with my knee,”  “I can walk, albeit with assistance, you know, crutches or whatever,”  then during a hospital stay “I got COVID in (the) hospital. My kidneys started to back up. Everything seemed to converge at the same time,” …“It’s just been a difficult, interesting, frustrating last few years,”
