Kandi Burruss Files Emergency Motion Hearing Over Child Support And “Daddy Daycare” Claims And Todd Has Countered The Motion

Former RHOA star/Xscape singer/Grammy Award winning songwriter Kandi Burruss rode hard for husband  and father of 2 of her 3 children Todd Tucker against what anyone had to say about Todd including her own mother.  Sadly Kandi Burruss has made the announcement in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE shared on Nov. 21, 2025  that after 11 years of marriage she is filing for divorce from Todd Tucker.   Kandi in her statement asked for “… privacy, grace, and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family,.”   Unfortunately Kandi’s request for privacy haven’t been answered and although social media has been seeing the former RHOA couple together for holiday’s and family events, the down and dirty has been allegedly been going down in the court house and Kandi Burruss is calling cap on some of Todd Tuckers claims on social media and in the court house.

Reportedly Todd Tucker, according to new divorce filings,  told the court he wants primary custody of his and Kandi’s two kids because her nonstop work schedule keeps her out of state for months at a time. He says the kids have been living with him in Georgia and that he’s been the main parent handling everything while she chases her bags.  On top of that Todd also claimed he was pressured into signing their prenup right before the wedding, saying the agreement was handed to him without his own legal team present even though Kandi’s lawyers had already been in talks with his. He says he signed it at the last minute with no chance for a real review which now has him questioning if the prenup is even enforceable.

Now it’s being reported that Kandi Burruss has filed an emergency hearing over child support, parenting time ie ‘Daddy Daycare’ saying that she is financially footing the bill, solely financially, for the their children’s needs and that his ‘Daddy Daycare’ posts is not totally true.

In the January 8 filing, Kandi Burruss claims she has been paying all expenses for their two minor children, including childcare, school costs, activities, medical care, and daily needs.  She alleges Todd Tucker has not contributed financially, despite having multiple income sources, and claims he has traveled overseas for vacations since the divorce was filed.  The motion also accuses Todd of not regularly exercising parenting time, despite social media posts portraying “Daddy Daycare,” and alleges he interfered with Kandi’s holiday parenting time during Christmas. Kandi is also asking for child support.

Todd Tucker has now filed an objection to Kandi Burruss’ motion to seal their divorce documents, arguing that Kandi has publicly discussed the divorce with news outlets and bloggers.
