The pandemic made things a lot more convenient for people introducing us to the world of virtual appointments and such. The kick back in that is that people have lost their sense of presentation in it all. Recently a judge went in on a woman because she should up for virtual court wearing a robe and preparing a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Asja Outerbridge of Michigan was kicked off a court Zoom call after she was caught making a peanut butter sandwich during a hearing by the judge. Asja Outerbridge was attending Detroit’s 36th District Court hearing online for a misdemeanor charge, when during the hearing, 36th District Court Judge Sean Perkins asked Outerbridge, who was late to the call and appeared to be spreading peanut butter on a slice of bread, to put the food down.
“Is that a robe?,” “Put whatever you are trying to prepare down,” “No, we can’t talk at the same time,”
According to Asja Outerbridge, who is a personal stylist who had called off work, says she was trying to prepare her 3 year old child something to eat who was home sick from school.
“I definitely was wrong. I could have come dressed better and more prepared,”
Judge Perkins wasn’t hearing it and booted her from virtual court.
Asja Outerbridge appeared before the judge for a misdemeanor for allegedly having an open alcohol container as a passenger in a car.
