Judge Dismissed Five Of The Nine Claims Lil Rod Filed Against Diddy

A small victory for Bad Boy Records founder Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, a judge dismissed five of the nine claims filed by former music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, who accused the mogul of sexual assault.

Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones had filed the lawsuit in February 2024, accusing Diddy of a sex trafficking and RICO conspiracy.

A judge dismissed five of the nine claims Lil Rod made, including RICO charges, emotional distress, and breach of contract. Additionally, a Trafficking Victims Protection Act claim against Diddy’s company, Combs Global, was also thrown out.  The judge didn’t hold back in reprimanding Jones’ lawyer, Tyrone A. Blackburn, for poorly prepared filings. In particular, the judge noted that Blackburn had failed to recognize that Diddy is presumed innocent in an unrelated grand jury indictment.

Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, who worked as the producer on Diddy’s 2023 “The Love Album: Off the Grid,” brought a lawsuit against Sean Comb’s back in February 2024. In it, Lil Rod alleges Diddy coerced him into various sex acts, dangling money and high-power industry connections to keep him quiet and ensnare him in a web of misconduct. Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones also claims he was never paid.
