Jimmy Fallon Masterfully Stood In The Gap For Jimmy Kimmel During His Monologue [VIDEO]

Social media erupted when news broke that ABC announced that it was pulling Jimmy Kimmel’s late night show “indefinitely” after conservatives accused the longtime host of inaccurately describing the politics of the man who is accused of fatally shooting the right-wing activist Charlie Kirk.  An outpouring of celebrities including former President Barack Obama took to social media to show their support for Kimmel that seems to have fallen victim to if the our now President Trump isn’t feeling what you are saying about him or what he believes you may be out of a job.   NBC host of ‘The Tonight Show’ Jimmy Fallon masterfully stood in the gap for his fallen brother from another network during his monologue.

“The big story is that Jimmy Kimmel was suspended by ABC after pressure from the FCC, leaving everyone thinking, ‘WTF?'” Fallon joked at the start of his monologue, even saying that he received test messages from his dad who had confused Jimmy Fallon loosing his job opposed to Jimmy Kimmel.  On a more serious note, Fallon came to Kimmel’s defense, telling viewers, “To be honest with you all, I don’t know what’s going on, and no one does. But I do know Jimmy Kimmel, and he’s a decent, funny and loving guy, and I hope he comes back.”

Then Jimmy Fallon flawlessly continued his monologue about Donald Trump U.K. visit, in a way that the networks would have difficulty coming for him about.

It was just last night that Donald Trump urged NBC to cancel Fallon and Seth Meyers, calling them “two total losers.”
