January 6th Capital Riot Participant Refuses Trump’s Pardon [VIDEO]

On January 6, 2021, the United States Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., was attacked by a mob of supporters of then-president Donald Trump in an attempted self-coup d’état, two months after his defeat in the 2020 presidential election.  47th President Donald Trump on day one of his administration made a sweeping order that pardoned the participants in the national embarrassment that is now in scotched in American History books as the January 6th Insurrection, benefiting more than 1,500 defendants.   Except one is not taking the pardon.

71 year old Pam Hemphill, had participated in the Insurrection, accepted a plea deal, was sentenced to 60 days in prison, three years of probation, and a $500 fine. However, despite Trump’s recent decision to pardon over 1,500 individuals involved in the riots, Hemphill declined the offer.

According to Pam Hemphill:

“Accepting a pardon would only insult the Capitol police officers, rule of law and, of course, our nation,”…”I pleaded guilty because I was guilty, and accepting a pardon also would serve to contribute to their gaslighting and false narrative.”…”We were wrong that day, we broke the law – there should be no pardons,”
