Janet Jackson’s Sorry, Not Sorry, For Saying Kamala Harris Wasn’t Black

We all get caught up sometime.  Janet Jackson accidentally stepped outside her lane and got called to the carpet on it, she allegedly issued an apology for speaking on misinformation, about Vice President Kamala Harris not being black.  But allegedly the apology wasn’t authorized to give.

So what had happened was…

Janet Jackson was being interviewed by the Guardian when she was asked about her position on the upcoming election, with the interviewer noting that “America could be on the verge of voting in its first Black female president.”  Janet hit the interviewer the, I had heard she is not black for real.  The interviewer was like Kamala is black and Indian.  Janet then say’s that she heard Kamala’s daddy was white.

“Well, you know what they supposedly said?”  “She’s not Black. That’s what I heard. That she’s Indian.” “Her father’s white. That’s what I was told. I mean, I haven’t watched the news in a few days. I was told that they discovered her father was white.”

Not long after the social media of dragging of Ms Rhythm Nation started and the principal was not pleasurable, which prompted Janet Jackson to issue an apology through her manager Mo Elmasri.

“She deeply respects Vice President Kamala Harris and her accomplishments as a Black and Indian woman. Janet apologizes for any confusion caused and acknowledges the importance of accurate representation in public discourse,”  “We appreciate the opportunity to address this and will remain committed to promoting unity.”

However..

Janet Jackson’s current manager is her brother, Randy Jackson, representatives for Jackson confirmed to USA TODAY on Sunday. Elmasri was not authorized to make the statement to Buzzfeed, the singer’s reps added, nor has he ever worked on Jackson’s team.

So does that mean she’s not sorry??  Is that the way love goes??
