It’s Official Carlee Russell Has Been Charged and Mug Shot Released [VIDEO]

Carlee Russell called 911 claiming to see a toddler walking on the side of the highway but when police arrived Carlee Russell or a toddler was no where to be found.  The community went on the hunt to find Carlee Russell while financial resources poured in.  Then just as mysteriously as Carlee Russell disappeared, she reappeared.  What at the time seemed like a blessing that Carlee Russell had escaped her captures turned out to be a hoax.  Money raised by Crimes Stoppers won’t be returned however authorities are now saying that Ms. Carlee Russell must pay the piper.

25-year-old nursing student, Carlee Russell, now faces charges stmming from her false abduction claims, which are  false reporting to law enforcement and falsely reporting an incident, both are misdemeanors.

Carlee Russell turned herself into authorities on Friday, in which she was formally booked and her mug shot was taken before she posted bond. Each charge carries up to a year in jail upon conviction, as well as fines of up to $6,000.

Carlee Russell has been dragged across social media for what she has done, however the real question is, what would make a young lady with such a promising future do such a thing?
