Is It Ever Cool To Lay Hands On Your Mother? Viral Fight Between Jackie Christie and Chantel Christie [VIDEO]

“Honor thy father and thy mother” is a commandment found in both the Old Testament (Exodus 20:12, Deuteronomy 5:16) and the New Testament (Ephesians 6:2).  Proverbs 13:24 says “spare the rod, spoil the child”.  With that being said, when did it become cool to lay hands on your mother?

In the latest episode of the hit VH1 reality television show Basketball Wives LA, veteran cast member Jackie Christie, wife of retired basketball player and current NBA coach for the Sacramento Kings, Doug Christie, was shown in a physical altercation with her daughter and fellow cast member, Chantel Christie.

Chantel Christie took to her Instagram Story to share a lengthy statement. In the post, she explained that if someone has never “dealt with a toxic mother,” then they have “no idea what it feels like.”

Jackie Christie’s other daughter Takari, with whom Jackie Christie has had a rocky relationship with took to social media seeming to side with the mom.  Chantel Christie then clapped back with question “aren’t you the same daughter that pulled a knife on Jackie?”

At this time, Jackie Christie has not publicly shared her thoughts on the incident.

Is reality television going too far?  Does it matter that your mother is toxic?  Tell us how you feel, after watching the blow by blow below.
