Murder Inc. Founder, Irv Gotti, was the master ming that gave us singer Ashanti. Irv Gotti at one time went on record saying that Ashanti was singing ‘Rain On Me’ to him, claiming to have been her source of inspiration. Ashanti went on a podcast stating for the record it was lie and that Irv had lied about many things. The back and forth about what had between Ashanti and Irv had quieted down. Ashanti reunited with rapper Nelly got married and had her first child. However things were never made right between Ashanti and Irv.
Upon the passing of Irv Gotti many have paid tribute to Gotti, some good, some bad, however surprisingly Ashanti has paid tribute to Irv Gotti wishing that things were on better terms, but she is forever grateful for what Irv had done for her.
