Historical Black Church’s Hit Proud Boys With A $22M Lawsuit

Has the Insurrection finally caused a shift or should we just say that karma is b##ch?  Donald Trump yesterday made history being the first former president to be indicted and arrested in U.S. history now it’s being reported that Historical Black Church’s are seeking $22m dollars from the extremist group The Proud Boys, the group that former President Trump asked to stand down on national television.

On Dec. 12, 2020 during a pro-Trump rally to support the false claim that the presidential election was rigged. Instead of a cross, members of the Proud Boys, a far-right organization, reportedly tore down and set ablaze Black Lives Matter banners outside Asbury United Methodist Church and the Metropolitan AME Church. On March 29, 2023 Metropolitan AME asked the D.C. Superior Court for a $22 million punitive judgment against the Proud Boys, justifying the large award as a deterrent to end the organization’s terror campaign.

The lawsuit is hoping to bring a means to an end or in the case The Proud Boys.
