Hall of Fame QB Boomer Esiason Claims NFL Owners Ordered Shedeur Sanders Off The Draft Board [VIDEO]

Shedeur Sanders endured a lot this weekend, first falling out of the first round of the NFL draft all the way through the fourth round, before finally being drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round with the 144th pick.  The world was in shock with every round that passed by that no NFL team called Shedeur Sanders number and the mystery to the 2025 draft saga continues.  According to NFL Hall of Fame quarterback, Boomer Esiason, he has the answer to the mystery.

On Monday’s “Boomer & Gio” show, Boomer Esiason claimed some NFL owners ordered Sanders removed from draft boards, calling him “entitled.”

“When you listen to this kid talk…he’s very high on himself, and I think he’s very off-putting to many, many coaches and general managers,”

According to Boomer Esiason, NFL personnel people with three separate teams were told to take Shedeur off their draft board.  Boomer Esiason went on to say that Shedeur and his father, Deion Sanders, played a role in that decision. Esiason claimed Shedeur’s comments about changing a team’s culture turned off some team owners. It didn’t help that Deion made comments suggesting he would try to control where Shedeur went in the draft. Deion eventually reversed course, but the damage was already done.

Ironically Boomer Esiason was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round of the 1984 NFL draft with the 38th overall pick, surprisingly low considering his successful college career.

Well how does that saying go…you can show’em better than you can tell’em.
