Prayers went up at courtside during the Memphis Grizzlies vs Charlotte Hornets games when Grizzlies’ guard Jaylen Wells was fouled while attempting a dunk that resulted in him landing on his head, resulting in him leaving on a stretcher. Praise God that the prayers of everyone at and viewing the game was heard as Jaylen Wells is reportedly out of the hospital.
Jaylen Wells caught an outlet pass from Ja Morant during Tuesday’s 124-100 victory and went up to dunk the ball, when the Hornets’ KJ Simpson inadvertently undercut him after trying to catch up to the play. The contact caused Wells to lose his balance while in the air, and he landed awkwardly on his side as his head slammed against the court near the baseline. The game was halted for over 20 minutes.
Agent Aman Dhesi told ESPN on Wednesday, that Jaylen Wells has been discharged from the hospital suffering only a broken wrist, following that scary call
Hornets guard KJ Simpson apologized to Jaylen Wells personally as well as publicly on ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter).
“I know we already spoke and are good friends bro but again I just wanted to express not only to J but to his family as well how deeply sorry I am,” I would never purposely do that to anyone. I’m just extremely sorry.”
With Jaylen Wells replying
“Much love brother,” …”Thank you.”
