George Floyd’s Family Say’s His Brother Philonise Floyd Hasn’t Divided Up The $19Mil Raised And Ben Crump Is Allegedly Ghosting Them

George Floyd’s family wants answers about what happened to the $19 million raised in his name following his tragic death.  According to the siblings of George Floyd other that Philonise, that money was never divided up and they are alleging that Attorney Ben Crump has been ghosting them when they sought him out for answers.  Now they are taking their own legal route.

TMZ obtained a letter sent Aug. 11 by a Houston attorney representing three of George Floyd’s siblings, sisters Zsazsa and LaTonya and brother Rodney, to their brother Philonise Floyd. The letter requests a complete accounting of the George Floyd Memorial GoFundMe campaign, which the document states raised roughly $19 million.

Rodney Floyd framed the request as procedural rather than accusatory.

“We want to see the records, understand how decisions were made, and make sure the family’s questions are answered,” …“We’re speaking up because transparency matters.”

The family of George Floyd also reached a settlement approved unanimously by the Minneapolis City Council on March 12, 2021, the $27 million payout is one of the largest pre-trial settlements in a civil rights wrongful death case in U.S. history.
