Fugees’ Pras Found Guilty Of Political Conspiracy

On Monday, rapper 50 Cent attacked Pras Michel, a former member of the Fugees, for supposedly admitting to being an FBI informant, but it seems that if Pras was a snitch, all the snitching in the world didn’t help him.

Fugees member Prakazrel “Pras” Michel has been found guilty in a federal conspiracy trial, in which he is facing up to 22 years for his alleged involvement in a money laundering scheme and his association with a foreign country attempting to influence the U.S. government. Pars was found guilty on 10 criminal counts related to an international conspiracy reaching the highest levels of the US government.

Admitting that he was an informant for the FBI, Pras who agreed to testify in his own defense, admitted that he met with federal agents to assist with China’s attempts to extradite dissident billionaire Guo Wengui, who has since been indicted on fraud charges, who had fled to the U.S. in 2014 after it was announced he was facing charges of bribery, money laundering, fraud, and rape in China.

Pras was found guilty of conspiracy to defraud the US, witness tampering and acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign government. No sentencing date was set.

So much for a Fugees reunion.
