Four Men Charged In Fatal Overdose Of Actor Michael K. Williams [Video]

Whats done in the dark will come to light and in this world of there is a camera rolling everywhere that darkness gets brought to light sooner than later.  Back on September 6, 2021, 54 year old actor Michael K. Williams best known for his role as ‘Omar’ on HBO’s ‘The Wire’ was found dead in his New York home by family member from an overdose of fentanyl, parafluorofentanyl, heroin and cocaine found in his system by a coroner.  It’s now being reported that the one’s responsible for his deadly cocktail have been found, arrested and charged with Michael K. Williams death.

Caught on security footage selling to Michael K. Williams in broad daylight, Brooklyn man, Irvin Cartagena, 30, was charged with selling a deadly dose of fentanyl-laced heroin to Michael K. Williams.  Three others, Hector Robles, 57; Luis Cruz, 56; and Carlos Macci, 70, were accused of being part of a drug-trafficking ring that continued to sell the drug even after knowing it had killed actor. 

All four men have each been charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute fentanyl analogue, fentanyl, and heroin.   The charge carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison and a maximum sentence of 40 years.  Irvin Cartagena, who allegedly personally gave Michael K. Williams heroin laced with fentanyl and a fentanyl analogue, is also charged with causing the actor’s death and faces a minimum sentence of 20 years in prison and a maximum sentence of life in prison.
