Twenty three dollars and robbery don’t even belong in the same sentence. Unfortunately it’s being reported that for Cleveland Cavalier Delonte West has been arrested for an alleged robbery that amounted to whopping $23.
Former NBA guard Delonte West was arrested last month in Virginia after allegedly robbing and assaulting someone on the 5900 block of Richmond Highway in Belle Haven. Authorities told TMZ they responded to a call from the alleged victim, who reported the robbery and pointed out West across the street. Law enforcement took him into custody without incident, and he later posted a $1,000 bond. Officials said the total value of what was taken was about $23.
Delonte West was an 8 year NBA veteran who has admitted to battling Bipolar Disorder as well as substance abuse. In 2020 Mavericks owner Mark Cuban reached out to Delonte West and got him some help. Everyone thought that Delonte West was cool, especially since it was reported that he had got a job at the rehabilitation center, until someone posted a video that went viral of Delonte West in Virginia standing on the corner with a cardboard sign, begging for money.
