Most daycare facilities and public schools require children to be vaccinated. To be clear there is a such thing as vaccination exemptions allow individuals to be excused from mandatory vaccinations for medical, religious, or philosophical/personal belief reasons, with the specific exemptions and requirements varying by state. However the state of Florida is moving past exemptions and moving on to phasing out mandated vaccines.
Florida’s Surgeon General, Dr. Joseph Ladapo, announced that the state of Florida will phase out all childhood vaccination requirements. Per the state Health Department’s website, vaccine mandates for child day care facilities and public schools include shots for measles, chickenpox, hepatitis B, Diphtheria-tetanus-acellular pertussis (DTaP), polio and other diseases. However, Gen. Ladapo said, “Every last one is wrong and drips with disdain and slavery!” He went on to add: “Your body is a gift from God. What you put into your body is because of your relationship with your body and God.”
The fear is if this happens it could result in dangerous resurgences of preventable diseases, reversing decades of progress.
