FBI Arrests Michigan Teens In Connection With Alleged Cedar Point Halloween Terror Attack Plot [VIDEO]

We sometimes think to ourselves when we see things happen in other places that those things can’t happen to us, it’s almost an unreal feeling.  But hatred is real, and praise God that because of things that go on behind the scenes people were safe on Halloween when the FBI arrested Michigan teens in connection with an alleged terror attack planned to happen at Cedar Point in Sandusky on Halloween.

Three people are facing charges in connection with what the FBI is calling a thwarted terror attack out of Dearborn, Michigan. Mohmed Ali and Majed Mahmoud were officially charged earlier in the week, and on Wednesday, Ayob Nasser became the third. They are charged with conspiring to provide material to support ISIS and having firearms that would be used to commit an act of terrorism on behalf of ISIS. In the criminal complaint the FBI outlined information that suggests there might have been a plan to attack the popular amusement park Cedar Point.

Investigators say the third Michigan man 19 year old Ayob Nasser, 19, traveled to Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky Ohio, which is about 3 hours away to scout the location, they said.  He is accused of participating in the planning of a possible attack on LGBTQ+ bars in suburban Detroit that was inspired by the Islamic State, federal authorities have said.

Although Cedar Point was not named specifically in the documents a spokesperson for Cedar Point provided 3News the following statement:

“The safety and security of our guests and associates is a top priority. Cedar Point assisted the FBI on this investigation, as the individuals were recently observed on park property. Although there was no substantiated threat to the park, guests or associates, Cedar Point’s advanced security and surveillance capabilities provided important additional information to investigators. Together with additional third-party experts, the park took immediate and appropriate action to ensure the continued safety of all on property.”
