Eva ‘Pigford’ Marcille Responds To ‘Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model’ [VIDEO]

The internet has been on fire since Netflix dropped  ‘Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model’ this week.  Tyra Banks has been catching heat behind the docuseries which she was part of from the 20/20 lens she was spoke from, to her relationship with founding A.N.T.M member, J. Alexander aka Miss J, revealed that he suffered a major stroke that  left him speechless and unable to walk with no Tyra Banks to be found.  Fans however noticed that the most famous ANTM, Eva ‘Pigford’ Marcille, was seen in snippets however she was not heard.  That is until now.  Eva The Diva is speaking on what the world has been chattering about  ‘Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model’.

According to Eva, America’s Next Top Model was the launch pad to her career however, even though she was up in the club, she had no idea that all of that what was revealed in ‘Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model’ was going on.

“I watched it and after I watched it, I was gobsmacked,” “I was in awe. … my mouth was wide open. To be a part of a club, and not know what’s going on in the club is crazy.”

In an interview with Gayle King, Eva shared that she was never even approached to participate in the documentary. Eva Marcille (then known as Eva Pigford) won Cycle 3 of America’s Next Top Model in 2004.

“Being that I was the shortest girl on my season, and the idea of a Black girl and this short in the modeling business, it’s unheard of. It will never happen,” 

Eva Marcille told CBS Mornings she had no knowledge of what was happening behind the scenes at the time, she acknowledged that the producers and the judges “absolutely” had a role in creating that type of environment.

“That environment could not exist without producers aiding and embedding what was going on,” said Marcille, noting that she’s experienced in reality TV having gone on to star in The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip. “Housewives, I mean — I don’t know what is going on in someone’s life unless the producers tell me. It’s a part of how this thing works.”

However in the same vain Eva does recognize had it not been for Tyra Bank’s and America’s Next Top Model she would not have the career she has today.
