Don Lemon Has Been Fired From CNN

Don Lemon shook up the world today, not by having a on-air debate or disagreement but by taking to Twitter to announce that after 17 years he was terminated today.

6 months ago Don Lemon left his popular evening show on CNN to go to “CNN This Morning,” which he co-anchored with Kaitlan Collins and Poppy Harlow.  When he got to work Monday morning, according to Don Lemon:

“I was informed this morning by my agent that I have been terminated by CNN. I am stunned,”

CNN CEO Chris Licht released a statement with the news of Don Lemon’s termination with the classic ‘we wish him well in his future endeavors’.  He also went on to say that Don Lemon will forever be CNN family.  Although they gave Don Lemon, one of their most notable television journalists the boot after serving the for 17 years.

No reason was given for his firing, however DonLemon had this to say via Twitter about it.

CNN say’s that Don Lemon’s Tweet was a little inaccurate and that he was offered the opportunity to meet with management.

Don Lemon as of late had been accused of  misogyny at CNN, allegedly there were malicious texts, mocking female co-workers and alleged ‘diva-like behavior’.
