Documentary on The Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921 Airs Today

There are many events in American history that you won’t find in your history books or even heard talked about during Black History Month and one of those events is the Tulsa Race Massacre.

Today Memorial Day marks the one hundred year anniversary one of the nation’s most affluent Black communities was attacked by ground and air. A mob of armed rioters used torches and private airplanes to destroy 35 square blocks of an area in Tulsa, Oklahoma known as “Black Wall Street.” The Tulsa Race Massacre remains one of the worst incidents of racial violence in U.S. history.

In lieu of the anniversary of the  Tulsa Race Massacre one of the worst acts of racial violence in American history, CNBC’s will be airing a new documentary called “Blood on Black Wall Street: The Legacy of the Tulsa Massacre,” premiering, today, Sunday, May 30 at 2pm.
