DJ Unk Passes From Heart Attack At 42

Prayers are in order as it was reported that DJ Unk passed away at the young of 42 years old.  Originally no cause of death was given which led to rumors to swirl.  The family of DJ Unk is putting those rumors to rest by revealing that he passed away in his sleep from a heart attack.

DJ Unk’s wife, Sherkita Long-Platt tells TMZ he died in his sleep on January 24 after suffering a heart attack. She says the family is aware of various rumors going around as to how he died … and she wants people to know the truth. She tells us speculation he died from drugs is not true as he didn’t do drugs.

Atlanta native, Anthony Leonard Platt, better known by his stage name DJ Unk, was best known for his smash hits such as “Walk It Out, “2 Step” and more.
