DJ Envy Gives A Testimony Of His Christmas Blessing After Almost Loosing His Young Daughter

Peyton was suffering from the flu and strep throat simultaneously. She had been running a very high fever for several days. Both urgent care and her pediatrician told me not to be particularly concerned, as the flu is particularly aggressive this year and can run as long as seven or eight days….My intuition told me that something was wrong. Her high fever made me feel so uncomfortable that I spent my nights wide awake and watching her, periodically taking her temperature, waking her up to drink water every hour, and give her medicine every four.

One night, at midnight, I looked over and noticed her body immediately stiffen, her eyes opened and she was strangely looking up and off to the left. Her arms were extended, and her hands were in a prayer position. I thought that she was having a bad dream. I tried to wake her up, but it became obvious that it was not a dream. I sat her up, shook her and repeatedly tapped her face. Nothing changed. She was completely zoned out and only making slight movements.

It was at that moment that my heart sunk and I experienced fear that gutted me… Peyton was having a seizure. We were initially told that she would have to have brain surgery. Thankfully, that was not the case. Instead, she had to have two surgeries in her sinus areas to drain the infiltration. We just got home a few days ago after 10 days in the hospital and Peyton is recuperating. Praise God!!!

God is always showing himself even while we are living in times that try’s to distracts us from knowing that he is still in charge…AMEN
