Bad Boy Records founder Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs had been taken into federal custody in New York following a Grand Jury Indictment. Diddy plead not guilty to racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion; and transportation to engage in prostitution. The Judge denied Diddy bail.
Today Diddy’s legal team was in court and the judge denied him bail once again and will continue to be held in custody pending his trial.
In his ruling, Judge Andrew Carter did not feel team Diddy put a sufficient enough bail package deal in place he said there were no conditions that reduced the risk of witness tampering or obstruction. The terms were part of a proposed bail package that included a $50 million bond co-signed by Combs, his mother and several family members; surrender of his passport; home detention; weekly drug testing; and a visitor log to be submitted nightly to pretrial services.
Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, spoke to the press after their appeal didn’t end in their favor, stating that he wants to get to trial quickly so that he can get Diddy out of inhumane conditions.
Diddy is being held outside of general population in Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
Diddy’s next court appearance is scheduled for October 9, 2024.
