Did Lil Nas X Make A Deal With The Devil !? Nike Say’s Must Have Because It Wasn’t Them !!

21 year old Montero Hill best known as the rapper called Lil Nas X crossed major music roads with the success of his smash hit Old Towne Road.  Lil Nas X then saddled up his horse and it to liberation by coming out publicly as gay.  In the 2021 that really isn’t a big deal however what he has done over the past week try to not be a one hit wonder has got some folks wondering has he made a deal with the devil himself.

Last week Lil Nas X had Twitter nation up in arms when he dropped his new single from his fourth coming album, Montero (Call Me By Your Name),  a song  written about a guy he met and they promised to never come out publicly however he wrote the song to open doors for others like them to simply exist, however the part people are going hmm about is the video that has a Willy Wonka meets the The Wizard of OZ feel to it, also includes Lil Nas X sliding down a stripper pole to give Satan a lap dance.  Kind of weird, right?

Well things have gotten even weirder,  Lil Nas X is putting out a limited edition of Nike Air Max ’97 called ‘Satan Shoes‘ with Luke 10:18 a bible verse referencing Satan’s banishment from heaven on the side, 666 across the back and allegedly contains 60cc ink with 1 drop of human blood and the box the come in looks like it came straight out of hell.   The devil shoe that goes on sale today (word is it sold out already) will only have 666 pairs individually numbered available with a whopping price tag of $1,018.

According to a statement released by Nike, they are saying hell to da nah we aren’t making no devil shoes, we are not trying to write ourselves a ticket to hell.

“We do not have a relationship with Little Nas X or MSCHF,…Nike did not design or release these shoes and we do not endorse them.”

Lil Nas X response to the backlash of his devil shoe was to post a sarcastic YouTube video called, “Lil Nas X Apologizes for Satan Shoe,” a video of him dirty dancin with the devil.

Has Lil Nas X gone a little too far with his freedom of expression?  I wonder how many Grammy’s he will win for this project?  If your kid came home with a pair what would you do?
