Detroit Police Fire 38 Shots at 20 Yr Old Mentally ill Black Man!? [VIDEO]

Porter Burks brother called police because Porter Burks who is schizophrenic was experiencing a psychotic break and  Porter’s brother concerned about Porter as well as community safety.  When officers arrived Porter Burks brother told them that Porter Burks was experiencing a mental health crisis and was armed with a knife and had slashed the tires on his car.

According to a report police tried to deescalate the situation, Porter Burks allegedly charged the police, the police then fired off 38 shots, striking Porter Burks.  Police then transported Burks to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The five officers, who have not been identified, have been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of a state investigation. The family of Porter Burks, plans to sue the department for misleading the public.
