Detroit Mother Charged Following Fatal Shooting Of Her 6yr Old By Her 11 Year Old That Were Left In A Car [VIDEO]

No wants harm to come to their children especially due to gun violence, unfortunately a Detroit mother has been charged following the fatal shooting of her 6 year old daughter who was shot by her 11 year old son after she left them in a car unattended with the gun in the car while Door dashing.

Tonya Charisse-Annice Johnson, 41, has been charged with a firearms safe storage violation, three counts of second-degree child abuse and four counts of felony firearm, According to the Detroit Police Department via Facebook.

On March 2, 2026 Tonya Charisse-Annice Johnson allegedly left her five children, aged 2 to 11, unattended in a van as she entered a restaurant. Police said that Johnson’s 11-year-old son allegedly “found an unsecured handgun in the vehicle and fired it, striking the 6-year-old victim in the head, fatally wounding her.” The boy and girl have not been publicly identified.
