Former US Marine, Daniel Penny, has surrendered to authorities facing a second-degree manslaughter charge, in the death surrounding Jordan Neely.

Daniel Penny left the police precinct in handcuffs and is expected to be arraigned later Friday.  “We believe that the conviction should be for murder because that was intentional,” said Neely family attorney Lennon Edwards on Friday morning.

The attorney for Daniel Penny feel confident that the former Marine will be exonerated saying that Daniel Penny risked his own life and safety to help fellow passengers on the train that day.
