Da Brat And Judy Explains Why They Used White Sperm Donor During IVF Process [VIDEO]

Da Brat and Judy are on tour promoting their new book ‘The Way Love Goes. A Guide to Building a “Beaurtiful” and Everlasting Relationship’ about the raw story about their relationship that now includes a son they share after going through IVF.  In vitro fertilization (IVF) is a sophisticated assisted reproductive technology (ART) where a woman’s eggs are fertilized by sperm outside the body in a laboratory.  In the process of promotion the subject of their son has become a topic when inquiring social media minds have been wanting to know why the African American couple used the sperm of a white man during the IVF process.  Da Brat and Judy that has neva ben scared of nothing thrown their way has answered the question.

In a recent interview on the Pour Minds podcast, Judy detailed the complicated process of selecting a sperm donor. “It was my eggs, and they do something called genetic testing,” she explained. She added that she carries genes for “seven different things,” and at the sperm bank, she had to input her information to ensure any potential donor didn’t carry the same risks. “When that happened, our Black man choice went down to zero,” Judy said, explaining why they ultimately chose the donor they did.

The couple also shared the ugliness that came from the joyous news of the coming of Da Brat and Judy’s beautiful baby boy True Legend in 2023 that came with death threats and ugly criticism of their son being bi-racial.
