CWB Chicago Shared Surveillance Video Of Lifeguard Shooting That Left One Teen Dead [VIDEO]

Lifeguards are supposed to save lives, but tragically a lifeguard took shots at 2 teens leaving 1 dead.  CWB Chicago has now released the surveillance video.

Watching the video you can see Marjay Dotson, 15, and 14 year old Jeremy Herred, the cousin of Laquan McDonald, walking near 55 year old Chicago Park District lifeguard Charles Leto and his bike, when Leto pulled a gun out shooting Marjay Dotson and Jeremy Herred.  Unarmed Marjay Dotson was shot in the back, as a result died and Jeremy Herrod was shot in the neck and survived but was hospitalized.

Authorities said Leto who has a concealed-carry license, opened fire on the teens after having words with a third teen, who was unharmed, because the teen was upset that the pool was closing. However prosecutors say Leto violated park district policy, by bringing that gun to work.

Charles Leto has been charged with first-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder, aggravated battery and discharge of a firearm.
