Congratulations Ashanti and Nelly Welcome A Baby Boy

Ashanti and Nelly reunited, last summer posting videos of taking it nice and slow, leaving fans to wonder what was really going on with the 90’s Hip Hop favorite couple.  To close out this summer Ashanti and Nelly have welcomed in a baby boy.

Congratulations are in order as Ashanti and Nelly have taken to social media to share their joyous news of welcoming their first child together.  Ashanti told Entertainment Tonight that on July 18, 2024 she gave birth to their baby boy, Kareem Kenkaide Haynes.

“His dad named him with a lot of pride,” Ashanti gushed. Kenkaide is a tribute to her own father’s name and Kareem meaning generous, kind and dignified spoke to the couple. KK had a dignified birth, coming just a little early, causing Nelly to fly in last minute to make it in time. “Having all of us in the delivery room and seeing his face for the first time, I cried it was just so emotional and spiritual at the same time,” Ashanti recalled. “Having a vision of this moment for so long…it was such an electrifying feeling.”
