Cleveland Browns Safety Ronnie Hickman Jumped By 4 Men At NYC Hotel [VIDEO]

Cleveland Browns safety Ronnie Hickman was hospitalized following being jumped by four people at a Manhattan hotel early Monday morning.  Praise God he only suffered minor injuries and is now resting at home with family.

In a statement by a Cleveland Browns spokesperson:

“Safety Ronnie Hickman was a victim of assault early Monday morning at a New York City hotel,”.. “Ronnie was treated for minor injuries at an area hospital after the incident, was later released, and is home resting with his family.”

The incident occurred around 4:30 AM at the SIXTY LES in the Lower East Side, when the former Ohio State Buckeye, Ronnie Hickman, was approached by a group of men who apparently realized he played in the NFL.  The confrontation escalated into a physical altercation, sparking a brawl in the hotel lobby. The suspects took off, leaving Hickman with injuries that required a trip to the hospital.

Ronnie Hickman joined the Browns in 2023 after going undrafted in that year’s NFL draft and remains on the team’s roster.  After a breakout 2025 season, he is due to become a restricted free agent when the filing deadline kicks in next month but is widely expected to re-sign with the Browns.

No arrests have been made at this time.
