Actor/Comedian Katt Williams is best known for stirring the pot, at times making folks turn their back on him, but that doesn’t negate the fact that Katt Williams in his capacity is extreme;y successful, and his hometown of Cincinnati has nothing but love for their hometown hero.  So it is only fitting that Cincinnati showed their love for Katt Williams by honoring with a street named after him, ‘Katt Williams Way’.

Over the weekend, the city of Cincinnati showed big love to one of its most famous natives by unveiling Katt Williams Way in the Avondale neighborhood. The honorary designation went down at the intersection of Reading Road and Maple Avenue — the very block Katt grew up on.

Katt Williams himself, born in Cincy, September 2, 1971, was in attendance for the unveiling of ‘Katt Williams Way’ with Oscar winning actress/comedian, Mo’Nique, and actor/comedian, Tommy Davidson, live in living color in the crowd cheering him on.

“Even as a young person growing up here, I understood that names meant something. And so, I understood that Cincinnati must’ve been a great place because..it had such a long name. I thought it was a special place. I thought that great people came from here, I thought the girls were good looking, I thought the guys were smart. I thought this was a place [where] you could really do something and make somebody proud.” -Katt Williams
