Chicago Family Suing After A Botched Police Raid [VIDEO]

If police are hired to investigate crime, how scary is it that they can manage to botch a raid. In the horrifying case of Breonna Taylor in Louisville, KY, a botched raid took her life. Now a Chicago family is suing the police department for a botched raid that left their family traumatized.

According to a lawsuit in August 2019, officers charged into Steven Winter’s home without identifying themselves and without a warrant. The officers immediately aimed guns at Winters, yelling for him to get on the ground. An officer then went down a hallway and into the bedroom of Winters 4 and 9 year old daughter pointing a gun at them, leaving the girls terrified in tears, tweeting their beds. The officers refused to answer questions about what was going on then tried to cover up that they had raided the wrong house.

Thank God the family wasn’t physically injured however they are wounded physiologically, now suffering from PTSD.

This lawsuit comes months after a Black woman sued after officers barged into her apartment and forced her to stand naked and handcuffed while they conducted a search.
