New York was electric and Knicks fans were charged up ahead of game 3 of the NBA finals versus the San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden where they just knew that broom handle was tightening up. Just about every celebrity you could think of was there including for the first time a seated president was ever in attendance, Donald Trump. The National Anthem came on, everyone rouse to their feet, Donald Trump raised his hand in salute formation and the crowd boo’d unceremoniously. Needless to say the Knicks lost 111 to 115. Rapper Cardi B who tore the place down with an electric performance during the game last night though shared her thoughts on why the Knicks lost and what should happen to achieve success in game 4.
Stephen A. Smith wasn’t the only one that didn’t believe Donald Trump should have been in attendance.
“This president has no business showing up in New York City. I am dead serious. It is selfish. It is narcissistic. It is ridiculous that he is coming to this game.”
Cardi B hopped on live to debrief with her fans about the evening. She said she had a “blast” and even invited fans to join her in a prayer circle ahead of Game 4 to help the Knicks win. She also opened up about the strict protocols she and her team had to follow upon arriving at the arena, due to President Trump also being in the building adding that his presence made the energy feel “dark” and had everyone on their best behavior.
