Fans have become frustrated with the Cleveland Browns, especially after taking another loss, this time to the Washington Commanders 34 to 13. After getting into the playoffs last season the hopes of a playoff return seem dismal with a record of now 1-3.
During Sunday’s game against the Commanders fans took to social media dragging QB Deshaun Watson when in the 3rd quarter, Watson walked off the field to the dismay of Kevin Stefanski and then snapped off his chinstrap in frustration, took off his helmet and shook his head.
Fans thoughts were how dare he when the organization gave up so much including money to have Deshaun Watson who really hasn’t played a complete season since they acquired him following disagreements with the Texans’ front office and multiple sexual-misconduct lawsuits that kept Watson out for the entire 2021 season and eventually led to a trade to the Browns in 2022, where he signed a five-year contract worth $230 million, one of the largest contracts in NFL history.
Well it seems that walk-off wasn’t quite what everybody, thought it was.
Deshaun Watson walked off dejectedly on that fourth and goal from 8 with 12:15 left in the third because the Browns had too many men in the huddle.
“We had the wrong amount of people in the huddle and at that point we were just going to kick the field goal,” Coach Kevin Stefanski
Also according to Kevin Stefanski Deshaun Watson is not going anywhere he is their quarterback.
