There’s an old saying like father like son and it appears that in the case of retired NBA start Dwyane Wade and his son Zaire Wade this saying maybe so, as news has broke that he is heading to the NBA.
Talk about a chip off the old block. The odds for anyone to make it to the NBA is astronomical, can you imagine what it is for the child of a NBA player?
Congratulations are in order as it is being reported that 19 year old Zaire Wade was officially drafted to the Utah Jazz’s G League team, the Salt Lake City Stars with the 10th overall pick in the draft. Zaire Wades father Dwyane Wade, who is part owner of the Utah Jazz, shared the moment Ziare learned that he was selected by the team and said, “Wade Legacy Continues…Proud Dad moment!”
Zaire Wade prior to being drafted attended Sierra Canyon in Los Angeles where he played along side LeBron James Jr, before opting to take a postgraduate year at Brewster Academy a boarding school in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire rather than play college basketball in 2020-21.
Not only was Zaire Wade being drafted a proud moment for his father, Dwyane Wade, his play uncle, LeBron James was equally pumped and had a little something to say to the haters that came for Zaire for being drafted by a team that his dad is a part owner of.
