Baker Mayfield And The Browns Divorce Is Final With Trade to Panthers [VIDEO]

The divorce between The Cleveland Browns and Baker Mayfield is officially final with The Browns trading the former 1st round draft pick Quarterback to the Carolina Panthers.

In a statement released by The Haslam’s owner of the Cleveland Browns:

“We want to thank Baker for all his contributions to the Cleveland Browns. From the moment he was drafted, he gave his all for this organization and this city. With his fierce competitive spirit, he excited the fanbase and accomplished things that no player at his position had done in Cleveland for a very long time. He also made a difference in the community, whether it was hosting events at the Boys and Girls Club, honoring our troops, supporting the Special Olympics as well as countless other charitable endeavors. We are grateful for everything he did for this organization and wish him and Emily well in the future.”

It is said that Baker Mayfield will be battling for the QB1 spot in Carolina against Sam Darnold.  

Ironically enough the Carolina Panthers will face the Browns in Week 1 of this coming NFL season.

How interesting is that Browns fans, the possibility of Baker Mayfield battling Deshaun Watson in week 1!?  That’s if after the three-day internal disciplinary hearing held for Cleveland Brown quarterback Deshaun Watson, doesn’t result in a season-long suspension from the league, after he was accused of sexual assault by nearly two dozen women.
