Atlanta TSA Workers Told That They Have To Give Back $1K Tyler Perry Gift Cards [VIDEO]

Praise God, after six weeks of going without pay, reportedly TSA workers have started to receive their retroactive checks, following a partial government shutdown that began in February 2026 due to a funding lapse for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which includes TSA.  However while TSA was thugin it out many civilians as well as celebrities stepped up to help the TSA workers that were forced to work without pay, sleeping in cars because they couldn’t afford gas or rent.  One celebrity in particular Tyler Perry showed up to give TSA some bread, but was turned away because TSA wasn’t allowed monetary gifts.  So TP went to HR and was approved to give TSA gift cards.  The TSA workers were extremely appreciative just for the airport’s federal security director to later raise an issue with the gift cards. Reportedly now the workers have now been directed to return the gifts.

According to 11Alive, sources said representatives for Perry worked through management, human resources and legal channels before returning to the airport to distribute the gift cards to TSA employees. However, the airport’s federal security director later raised concerns about the distribution, according to those familiar with the situation. Sources noted the development has created challenges for some workers, as portions of the funds may have already been used.
