Arrest Made For Kidnapping 7yr Old Milwaukee Child Jamal White, Kidnappers Claim White’s Mom Was A Drug Dealer They Were Trying To Robb

Milwaukee, 7-year-old Jamal White was kidnapped at gunpoint, sparking a statewide Amber Alert and nearly 24 hours later, praise God, young Jamal was found safe that evening, inside a home, about 7 miles from where he was taken.  What happened and why?   In light of the arrest of 3 men which include a 14 year old, there are some alleged answers.  According to the kidnappers taking 7 year old Jamal White was an attempted robbery gone bad, alleging they were trying to rob his mother an alleged known drug dealer.

Jamal White’s father, Jamal Sr., identified a man by the name of Corey Williams, as the person who was driving the car that snatched his 7 year old son.

Corey Williams told police that he was contacted by the 14-year-old suspect who wanted to rob Shavon Williams (7 yr old Jamal White Jr’s mother) at gunpoint. Corey borrowed the white Jeep to drive to her home on July 11. However, she never showed up, resulting in Corey Williams and two suspects driving to Jamal White Sr.’s home instead. Corey Williams said once Jamal White Jr was in the car, the plans changed. The suspects contacted Shavon Williams that night and demanded a $100,000 ransom, plus jewelry, in exchange for her son.   They offered to conduct the swap at a nearby park, but allegedly Shavon Williams never showed up. When they learned of the Amber Alert, Corey said the three suspects considered harming the child “to show they were serious.”, but then changed their mind.

Shavon Williams, the mother of 7-year-old Jamal White, according to authorities was uncooperative and impeded their investigation. She is currently in custody on a probation hold, though she has not been charged in connection with the abduction.
