Kentucky Man Trying To Pay For 13yr Old Shoplifters Items Shot In The Chest [VIDEO]

We have all seen people outside of stores/gas stations asking for a couple bucks and some have even witnessed people shoplifting in stores.  Sometimes out the kindness of our hearts we reach into our pockets to help without knowing someones situation.  Sadly a Kentucky mans kindness of heart almost got him killed when tried to pay for a 13 year old shoplifters items, only to be shot in the chest in return.

Alvin McDowell, 51, is a man who never hesitates to go into his pocket when someone asks for a little help, was making a quick trip to a Walgreens in Louisville, Kentucky when he noticed a 13-year-old allegedly young man trying to steal a bag of chips and a drink. McDowell thought he was stepping into help when he told the young man he didn’t need to take the items he would pay for them. That’s when another armed teenager approached him and fired a shot, striking him in the chest, just inches from his heart.

“He pulled a gun and when I saw the gun, I tried to pull it away from my face. As soon as I pushed it, he shot me in my chest,”

Police reportedly the following day, a 15-year-old had been arrested in connection with the shooting and charged with assault.
