Boyz II Men For The First In Almost A Decade Are Working On A New ‘Country’ Album…”We’ve Done Just About All We Could Do In R&B”

Boyz II Men and their four part harmony originally formed in 1985 hailing from Philadelphia, PA, before becoming a trio, who have 15 Grammy nominations under their belt with 4 Grammy awards on their mantels. Boyz II Men is the best-selling R&B group of all time, with over 60 million albums sold worldwide.  Nathan Morris, Wanya’ Morris and Shawn Stockman who are now in their fifties are still lightening up stages with fans wondering will they ever go back in the studio together??  Well the answer to that question is yes, however there is a twist.  Boyz II Men for the first time in almost a decade are working on a new album, the twist is, it’s country.

Boyz II Men’s new  project will mark their first full-length release since 2017’s “Under the Streetlight.”  Nathan Morris, Wanya’ Morris and Shawn Stockman have signed with Warner Records Nashville with plans of dropping a new ‘country’ album in 2027.

According to Boyz II Men member Shawn Stockman

“We’ve always been enamored with the storytelling component of country music,” …. “We love the genre so much, and at this point in our career we felt like it was the perfect time to dip our toes.”

Boyz II Men member, Nathan Morris, said R&B remains the group’s foundation, but the melodies, meanings and feelings in country are close enough that the move feels like coming home.

“I mean, we’ve done just about all we could do in R&B. So this is fun.”

Can’t you just imagine Boyz II Men singing ‘Water Runs Dry’, with a country swing to it??
