A Catholic Priest Is Dead After A Large Crucifix Fell On Him During Live-streamed Mass [VIDEO]

Prayers are in order as it has been reported that a Catholic priest during a live-streamed mass has died after being crushed by a large crucifix that fell on him.

The incident that was caught on live-streamed video happened during a Saturday night mass at Perpetuo Socorro Church in Guayaquil, Ecuador, where Father Patricio Alfredo Sánchez Molinari was standing at the pulpit during Mass as a woman in the congregation recites a prayer. A large wooden crucifix mounted on the wall behind him then falls, connecting directly with Sánchez Molinari and knocking him to the ground, out of view of the camera.

In a statement issued by the Archdiocese:

“The Archdiocese of Guayaquil joins in prayer for the eternal rest of his soul and expresses its solidarity, affection and love to the Redemptorist community, his family and friends,” …“Rest in peace,”

No cause as to why the crucifix feel has been given at this time.
