Former Cleveland Cavalier J.R. Smith Has Been Arrested In Texas On A Family Violence Charge

It’s being reported that former NBA star and member of the 2016 NBA championship Cleveland Cavalier team, J.R. Smith has been arrested in Texas on a family violence charge.

According to Hunt County jail records, 40 year old, J.R. Smith was booked on a charge of assault causing bodily injury family violence.   J.R. Smith remains in the Hunt County Detention Center, and jail records show no bond has been set.

J.R. Smith back 2007 served 24 days in jail after pleading guilty to reckless driving following a vehicular crash that resulted in the death of his passenger, Andre Bell.  Then in 2012 Smith was arrested for failing to appear in court after being cited for operating a motor scooter illegally.
