Prayers Barack And Michelle Obama Announce The Passing Of Their 13yr Family Member Dog ‘Sunny’

Dog’s have always been mans best friend and most that own dogs will tell you that their K9 is really one of their family members.  Prayers are in order as former POTUS and FLOTUS, Barack and Michelle Obama has shared the announcement of the passing of their 13 year family member dog ‘Sunny’.

Barack and Michelle Obama in a joint Instagram post featuring several photos of Sunny, revealed the loss of their Portuguese Water Dog after 13 years by their side.  According to the Obamas, who will “miss her terribly,”  Sunny joined the family at the start of their second term in the White House and quickly became a beloved companion to the entire family, describing her as athletic, energetic, fiercely protective of her “big brother” Bo (who passed in 2021) and “pretty much perfect.” 

“as far as our family was concerned, she was pretty much perfect, and for thirteen years, she would be by our side – always loyal, always sweet, always ready for adventure, still fiery and gorgeous till the very end of her days. We will miss her terribly, and imagine she’s with her big brother now, making sure he’s okay.”
