Ne-Yo Shares The Inspiration Behind His Biggest Banger ‘Make Me Better’…Jay-Z and Beyonce’ [VIDEO]

Ne-Yo doesn’t get nearly the shine he deserves because he is so much more than a singer, Ne-Yo is a great songwriter and record producer as well.   Ne-Yo is known for his unforgettable lyrics and melodies and in a recent interview he shared where the inspiration came from on of his biggest bangers, ‘Make Me Better’…Jay-Z and Beyonce’.

“Make Me Better” by rapper Fabolous, featuring Ne-Yo on the chorus. Released in June 2007 from the album From Nothin’ to Somethin’, it peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Ne-Yo’s unforgettable hook “I’m a movement by myself, But I’m a force when were together, Mami I’m good all by myself” came when he was is the studio trying to come up with a hook when power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce’ walked in all lovey dovey.  After Jay-Z heard the track he said that the song was more of a R&B song and gave the expensive Justin Timberlake track to Ne-Yo for free.
