Look At God…Sinbad Is Returning To The Comedy Stage For The 1st Time Since Suffering A Stroke in 2020 [VIDEO]

Back in 2020 prayer warriors were summoned for 64 year old David Adkins AKA Sinbad, who is best known for his role on ‘A Different World’ and his legendary ‘Sinbad Soul Music Festival’, when his family announced that he had suffered a stroke.  According to Sinbad’s family he was hospitalized for 9 months and told his survival rate from that type of stroke was 30% and that his limbs were dead.  That was what the doctor said however we all know ‘but God’ said something different as Sinbad was still fighting and 2 years later was taking his recovery literally step by step, in 2022.  Fast-forwarding to 2025 Sinbad snagged a role in the 2025 Tyler Perry thriller film “Straw” that was released on Netflix on June 6, 2025, starring Taraji P. Henson and Teyana Taylor, playing the role of Benny, a supportive neighbor, marking his first acting role since his 2020 stroke.  If that isn’t testimony enough watch God move again through Sinbad, as he has announced he is returning to the comedy stage for the first time since suffering a stroke.

The now 69 year old, actor/comedian, Sinbad announced on Instagram that he will perform at the Ice House in Pasadena, California, on April 29 and May 10, marking his first time back on stage since the medical emergency that changed his life more than five years ago.

“I can’t walk. Since the stroke in 2020, I have not been on stage. I’m gonna get my feet wet April 29 and May 10 at the Comedy Ice House in Pasadena, California. It’s just the beginning of me coming back,” …. “I’m so looking forward to these shows. I got so much stuff to talk about. I’m gonna be talking more trash than I ever talked.”… “I thank you for all the prayers that people prayed for me. It worked.”
