Mariah Carey Attended Easter Service At The Legendary Ebenezer Baptist Church In Atlanta [VIDEO]

They call Mariah Carey the Queen of Christmas, even though many forget the reason for the season was the birth of the one whose resurrection is the reason for Easter.  Clearly Mariah Carey knows the reason for both seasons as she popped up in the Easter services congregation at the legendary Ebenezer Baptist Church, not to sing but to worship the Lord.

Mariah Carey made a surprise appearance at Easter Sunday Resurrection Service at Ebenezer Baptist Church, led by the Rev. Sen. Raphael Warnock who gave the Grammy award singer a special welcoming shout-out, while saying that they love to hear Mariah sing but she came there on Easter Sunday to worship not to sing.

Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta is one of the nation’s most historic Black churches, affiliated with the Progressive National Baptist Convention and American Baptist Churches USA. It was the church where Dr. Martin Luther King Sr. was pastor from the 1930s and co-pastored together with his sons, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. from 1960 until his assassination in 1968 and Alfred Daniel King from 1968 until his death in 1969.  Raphael Warnock has served as senior pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church since 2005. In 2021, he became Georgia’s first Black U.S. senator and the first Black Democrat elected to the Senate from a Southern state. Warnock has maintained his pastoral role while serving in Congress.
